Onomato
Onomato is a mock natural wine company from Naramata, Okanagan BC. Onomato derives from Onomatopoeia, words used to represent sounds.
I created wine labels for 3 types of Onomato natural wine based on Japanese Onomatopoeia words: Shuwa Shuwa, Yura Yura, and Goku Goku.
Shuwa Shuwa
This low-alcohol wine beverage bursts with flavours of watermelon, cantaloupe and tea leaf. Perfect for picnics or pool-side hangs with friends. Refreshing bubbly to be served chilled with burgers, pizzas and BBQ ribs. A Great sidekick to hit the flavour town with.
Yura Yura
Aromas of hibiscus, mango, lemon and orange rind with a hint of nuttiness and funk. The acid and fruity notes make it a great pairing for any fatty and rich foods. A perfect wine companion for an introvert, a book worm, or a true day-dreamer.
Goku Goku
Juicy cola berry, rhubarb and bramble with a silky mouthfeel. Great for breaking the ice at big meals shared with family and friends. It’s so drinkable that it will remind you of that funny class favourite who got along with anyone...the centre of attention, the life of the party.
